EDUCATIONAL TRIPS 2025

We hosted a few trips this year one to Zimbabwe to the African Sun Hotels portfolio and one to Tanzania to link up with the Karibu Kili fair on June.

Zimbabwe Educational Trip

We recently hosted seven UK travel agents on an unforgettable educational trip to Victoria Falls and Hwange. The group spent one night at Elephant Hills Hotel, two nights at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel, and two nights at Hwange Safari Lodge.

For several attendees, this was their first time in Africa—and certainly their first visit to Zimbabwe—making it an absolute privilege to showcase the wonders of this incredible destination.

In Victoria Falls, we made the most of every moment:

  • A Flight of the Angels helicopter experience over the Falls

  • A guided Tour of the Falls

  • Curio shopping in town

  • Lunch at Dusty Road

  • The lively Simunye Show one evening

  • A magical sunset cruise on the Upper Zambezi

  • An early morning Bamba Tram experience

After all the excitement in Victoria Falls, the group was able to slow down and enjoy game drives in Hwange National Park, experiencing Zimbabwe’s rich wildlife and wide-open landscapes.

It was an absolute joy to host this trip and share the beauty, culture, and hospitality of Zimbabwe. The feedback was fantastic, and we’re certain many lifelong ambassadors for Zimbabwe have been made.

Tanzania 2025

In June, we hosted our annual fam trip to Tanzania. This year’s trip came together a little last minute, but we were delighted to organise a memorable itinerary in Northern Tanzania.

Five UK travel agents joined us for a few wonderful days of exploring something a little different in and around Arusha National Park. We visited Shu’mata Camp and Hatari Lodge, both offering the joy of staying in areas that are less well-known yet full of character and charm.

The trip also coincided with the Karibu-Kili Fair, which was a real highlight. It was a vibrant and busy show, with a huge variety of products on display. The agents thoroughly enjoyed the experience and all agreed they would have liked more than one day to explore everything on offer.

After the show, we travelled to Lake Manyara and spent two nights on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, staying at Lemala Ngorongoro and Entamanu Camp. We were also fortunate to experience a night at the new Mwamba Tarangire, a lodge making a big impression already.

The perfect finale to the trip was an unforgettable hot air balloon flight over Tarangire, a magical highlight to round off a truly special experience

Fam Trips 2024

In June 2024, we once again arranged for UK buyers to attend the Karibu-Kilifair in Arusha. To coincide with this, we co-hosted a family trip to Southern Tanzania—namely Ruaha National Park and Nyerere National Park. We did this together with Tim Henshall, the new  Head of Tourism Marketing at the Tanzania High Commission, London.

We had seven agents and one journalist on this amazing adventures and exciting trip over 6 nights and 7 days.

We did game drives, a balloon safari over Ruaha National Park, boat rides, and about 12 site inspections. It was a wonderful trip with wonderful travel people who were all enthusiastic and had not visited the areas before.

EVENTS

Tsessebe LTD continues to host, plan and organise events for the travel trade, to bring more products to one place for the tour operators and travel agents.

We were asked again this year (2023) to arrange an event for the Botswana Tourism Organisation during WTM in November. We arranged and hosted this event at the Radisson New Providence Wharf close to Excel in East London. We had about 100 travel trade and media attend the event, which was a huge sucess.

Tsessabe LTD was also contracted by ATTA to do 6 trade dinners including an event in Manchester in March. These were all well attended by the UK travel Trade.

In November 2023 we hosted 5 travel trade professionals out in Kenya on a fam trip to experience the Atua Enkop Africa properties.

This was an action-packed week in Kenya starting with attending a day at MTKE/EARTE Show 2023 where we were hosted by Kenya Tourist Board. Following this we went to The Masaai Mara and stayed at Tipilikwani Mara Camp and Mara Ngenche Safari Camp. After experiencing ing the magic of the game viewing here we headed off to Lake Nakuru and Soysambu Conservancy to Mbweha Camp. Following this we headed to Amboseli and to the newly acquired Elephant Gorge Camp overlooking the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro.

It was a wonderful trip and we cant wait to host more!
